Practical info

If you would like to attend the Workshop with or without presentation, please indicate it here by Friday, 18th of January.

Lovell Seminar Room (3.225), Third Floor, Alan Turing building, The University of Manchester, M13 9PL.

• Air: Most major airlines fly to/from Manchester Airport. There is a 24h direct train service between Piccadilly station and the airport, with up to 8 trains an hour during the day (15min journey, approx. £6); taxi costs £20-30, with approx. 30min journey. Alternatively, you can fly to/from Liverpool airport, which has 24h bus connection to central Manchester.

• Rail: Manchester Piccadilly is the main station, trains to/from North-West and Scotland also stop at Manchester Oxford Road station. Both stations are about 1km away from the Alan Turing building.

We propose to start around 11:30 on February 5th and finish around 16:00 on February 6th, allowing people to travel on those days. The Workshop facilitates informal discussions: talks are usually 45 minutes long including plenty of questions and discussion. The detailed program will be provided nearer the time.

The University is about 15min walk from the city centre, and there is a wide choice of hotels available. The closest three are Holiday Inn, Ibis and Travlodge. Alternatively, check at hotels.com or booking.com
