Our principles
- Zero tolerance for harassment: we will not tolerate harassment of any group or individual with regards to age, disability, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, physical appearance, or political opinion.
- Scope: this code applies to all speakers, participants, and guests of AGN on the Beach II, across the full workshop programme — scientific sessions, poster sessions, social events, the Wasini Island excursion, the public lecture and outreach activities, and any associated online communications.
- Professional communication: all communications, verbal and written, should be appropriate for a professional audience that includes a diverse range of backgrounds. Sexual or sexist language and imagery should not be used at any time during talks, posters, meetings, or social events.
- Mutual respect: be kind to others, and treat each other with respect. Do not insult or put down other attendees. Behave professionally. Harassment and sexist, racist, or exclusionary jokes are not appropriate.
- Consequences: individuals asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Any attendee violating this code may be asked to leave the event, at the sole discretion of the organisers, in consultation with the Scientific Organising Committee (SOC) and Local Organising Committee (LOC).
