Code of Conduct

Creating a respectful, inclusive environment for every participant.

The full AGN on the Beach II Code of Conduct is being finalised with guidance from the SOC and LOC. The outline below captures the principles that will guide the final document.

Coming soon

The detailed policy will be published with the January 2026 announcement.

Draft commitments

The SOC/LOC are aligning with best practices from international astronomy meetings. The final Code of Conduct will include:

  • Respectful collaboration: zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or hostile behaviour.
  • Inclusive participation: clear expectations for accessible talks, Q&A etiquette, and support for early-career scientists.
  • Reporting pathways: confidential channels to reach the SOC, LOC, or an independent ombudsperson during the workshop.
  • Consequences: transparent escalation steps for addressing violations onsite or online.

Questions or suggestions? Email the SOC so your feedback can shape the final document.
