Research Speed Dating

Marie Curie Conference (MC2)
Monday 10th April - Wednesday 12th April 2006

The first day of the conference will close with a ‘research speed dating' event.

In the idea of research speed dating is pretty much like dating speed dating but instead of finding a romantic partner the idea is to introduce yourself to as many potential research colleagues as possible. Delegates are rotated to meet each other for only a few minutes each before moving on to the next person. In that time they get an opportunity introduce themselves, share a bit of information and break the ice with just about everyone at the conference.

This is seen as a light-hearted and memorable way for delegates to meet new colleagues and get a brief overview of their research area over a glass of wine.
