RAS Discussion Meeting on Intensity Mapping

Mapping the integrated emission from redshifted neutral hydrogen is a new and completely independent way to measure baryon acoustic oscillations in the nearby universe. This technique can achieve powerful statistical constraints with relatively few data. New special purpose instruments are being proposed and will be built in the next few years. The meeting will include discussion of the theory behind the method, description of new instruments and how the use of the compact core of SKA might revolutionize the subject.
