NGC6905

Description: NGC6905 is a small, 11th magnitude planetary nebula in Delphinus, formed when a small/medium star reaches the end of its active life and blows off its outer atmosphere (which becomes the nebula) as the star's core becomes a white dwarf.

Physical information: Magnitude: 11.1 (central star 13.5), size: 1.2', distance: between 3000 and 6000 light years, a.k.a. the Blue Flash Nebula.
