Asteroid 2006 VV2

Description: Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's a near-Earth asteroid.
2006 VV2 passed within 3.4 million km of the Earth on the 31st March 2007. The image here is a time-lapse sequence of eight images, each lasting 10 seconds, taken approximately 25 seconds apart, and shows the asteroid's motion during the evening twilight.
For scale, the image width is roughly a fifth of the full moon.
