I am an astrophysicist at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics. I have just recently completed my PhD, and I completed my undergraduate degree, MPhys Physics with Astrophysics, at the University of Manchester, graduating in July 2007.

I am part of the CMB research group at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics and am interested in the CMB Foregrounds. In particular I am interested in Galactic dust as a CMB foreground. More information about my research can be found in the Research section.

Outside of Research
When I am not researching I like listening to music, and I try to go to as many live gigs as possible. As for playing music myself, I think the only instrument I could say that I can actually play with some degree of skill is the tin whistle.

I am also quite a big sports fan, and am interested in a wide variety of sports such as football, baseball, cricket, darts, rugby, Gaelic football....the list goes on.

Reading is another keen interest of mine, though it is often difficult to find the time for it.
