Lovell Telescope
At 76 metres in diameter this is the world's 3rd-largest fully-steerable telescope. |
SKA Project
We host the Program Development Office of the Square Kilometre Array, the international radio telescope for the 21st century. |
High Performance Computing
JBCA facilities include a number of general-purpose and specialised computing clusters. |
ALMA
JBCA hosts the UK ALMA Regional centre, providing support to UK scientists using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array. |
Virtual Observatory
JBCA has been working on the AstroGrid, AVO and Euro-VO projects to provide distributed access to huge astronomical data archives. |
