Preliminary Programme


The science programme foe the 10th EVN symposium will run between Tuesday 21st September and Friday 24th September.

This 4 day meeting will include science sessions based around 5 themes:
1) Life cycle of matter in stars and galaxies
2) AGN and cosmic star-formation
3) Extreme astrophysics
4) Astrometry, Geodesy, Space and Planetary Science
5) Techniques & developments in VLBI

Thurs AMExtreme astrophysics
(including AGN, Galactic and extragalactic jets and magnetic Fields)
Thurs PM Astrophysics of transient sources
Fri AM Astrometry, geodesy and planetary science
Fri PM Final remarks and closing of meeting

Interspersed throughout the meeting will be Technical contributions and invited contributions from the wealth of new radio instruments, including ALMA, LOFAR, EVLA, e-MERLIN, ASKAP and MeerKAT.
